Welcome ladies, to Jewels for Women, a radio program designed with you in mind. This is Connie Moland.
John 10:10 says, “The thief comes to steal, kill and destroy. But Jesus Christ has come that we may have life and that we may have it more abundantly.” Tell me ladies, do you experience abundant living? Would you describe your quality of life as abundant? When you think of abundant living what do you think of? Is it in the realm of material things, numbers of friends, size of house, amount of property owned or money in the bank? If those areas are our area of focus, satisfaction and fulfillment will be very short lived.
When Jesus referred to life more abundantly in Him, He was letting his disciples know that the enemy takes away life, but the shepherd gives it. Abundant life includes complete salvation, or sozo in the Greek, which means forgiveness of sins, deliverance and healing plus the gift of eternal life! So abundance, true abundance is possible in Christ only. Isaiah 55:2, 3 say “Why do you spend money for what is not bread, and your wages for what does not satisfy? Listen carefully to Me and eat what is good, and let your soul delight itself in abundance. Incline your ear and come to Me, hear and your soul shall live, and I will make an everlasting covenant with you, the sure mercies of David.”
Here we learn of what true abundance is. Listen to God’s voice, hearing from Him often. Abundance then is hearing the voice of God be it out loud, through His word, prayer, other people, in our inner man, through nature or dreams just to name a few. Not only does our soul live when we’re in tune to God’s voice, but our soul will delight in abundance! Receiving this abundance doesn’t cost us money as it says in Is 55:1. Abundance is already provided through Christ. However it does require something………..our lives! Giving of ourselves to Christ, being in relationship with Him is the abundant life with possibilities unending, and our soul will prosper.
That for today is Jewels for Women, this is Connie Moland.
